may ur wishes all cm true =)

wow! met a super super super duper nice lady vendor in nuh today! cos xtine originally wanted to buy flower... hee then we lingered at the small stall outside then flower shop. wahhhh ok i admit i am weak-willed, fell in love with this little eeyore on rocking chair hp thgy, so... ahhh the rest is history. =P as i was abt to pay, the lady vendor suddenly asked if i am a nus student, and promptly gave me 20% discount!

i was shocked actually. cos most of the ppl i came into contact with in my life thus far comprises my merchants who cant wait to make a quick buck out of poor unsuspecting souls and couldnt care less if u r a poor struggling student or a rich tai-tai. (ok the cynic in me toking argh) and if u r not dressed to the nines the teeny bopper sales assistants normally look at u as if u r a foul-smelling pile of... erm thg. haha =D

but this lady-vendor, she charged me a lesser price than she could have gotten. although its only a mere 50cents to sm ppl, this action speaks alot doesnt it? and it wasnt as if she was earning mountains or money... and she took my word for it, no need for the usual i-flash-matric-card-u-give-discount kind of procedure. we didnt even noe we r entitled to discounts, didnt even mention it to her, n yet she bothered to ask! gives me a warm fuzzy feeling in my tummy, both me n xtine were speechless with the generosity she has shown. =D

there r times when i meet reali nasty ppl n wonder wat the world is coming to, is life all abt getting a seat on the mrt even if tt entails elbowing ppl who r desperately trying to squeeze their way out? all abt differential treatment according to ur social status n wealth? times like today's incident reali restores my faith in human kind. *beams*

xtine n i walked away from the stall feeling supremely light-hearted n happy. she totally brightened up our day! thank you so very very much =) i wish i meet ppl like tt everyday of my life!

guess wat?

she gave us each a hello-kitty fairy sticker, wishing all our dreams come true. =D
